I don’t recall if I mentioned that one day in July, I was asked if I would like to be interviewed for a Chawton House Library podcast. “Why, yes, I would!” was my answer.
Along with the three CHL fellows, I was interviewed by Karen Woods in the Oak Room–one of the rooms with a cozy window nook that allows one or two people to sit and chat. This room looks out over CHL’s lovely, long driveway.
I was asked to talk about the library’s holdings and what drew me to them, as well as what I was researching in Chawton. The entire podcast lasts about 22 minutes, half of which focuses on Austen: the bicentenary, the £10-note, etc.
Want to hear the podcast? Take a listen. Go to this site. I chime in around 11:00, but you should certainly listen to the entire thing!
